Chiropractic Techniques and Services
At Simnioniw Family Chiropractic, also known as Sim Family Chiro or SFC, care is tailored to the person in front of us. Dr. Kylie considers your health history, examination findings, age, and comfort when recommending an approach.
We welcome patients of all ages from Dickinson and across southwest North Dakota. Whether you’re familiar with chiropractic care or coming in for the first time, we’ll explain what we recommend and make time for your questions.
Finding an Approach That Fits You
Dr. Kylie uses a variety of hands-on and instrument-assisted approaches. Let her know if you have a preference, feel nervous about an adjustment, or have had an experience you’d like to discuss.
Before care begins, she’ll explain the proposed approach, potential benefits and risks, and alternatives. You can ask questions or request a pause at any point.
Activator Methods®
This approach combines chiropractic assessment with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a controlled, low-force impulse. It provides an option for patients who prefer an instrument-assisted adjustment.
Diversified
Diversified is a hands-on adjusting approach that uses a controlled thrust directed to a joint. Dr. Kylie selects the positioning and application based on your assessment and explains the adjustment before proceeding.
Drop Table
A specially designed table has sections that move slightly during an adjustment. This movement assists the adjustment, with positioning selected for your individual needs.
Our office also has a table that accommodates the changing needs of pregnancy appointments.
Logan Basic
Logan Basic uses sustained, light contact near the sacrum at the base of the spine. Dr. Kylie will explain how she uses this approach and whether it is appropriate as part of your care.
Webster Technique
Dr. Kylie is trained in the Webster Technique, a chiropractic approach involving assessment and adjustment of the sacral and pelvic region. It is commonly associated with prenatal chiropractic care.
Webster is not a procedure to turn a baby and does not guarantee a particular birth position or delivery outcome. Dr. Kylie can discuss its purpose and limitations during your appointment.

MC2 / Upper Cervical Approach
The MC2 approach places particular emphasis on assessing the upper neck. Findings in this area help guide Dr. Kylie’s decisions about where and how to adjust, with other areas considered as appropriate.
Tonal Approach
A tonal approach uses light contacts guided by chiropractic assessment. Dr. Kylie will explain what the contacts involve, what she is assessing, and why she may recommend this approach for you.
Cranial and Fascial Work
Dr. Kylie’s additional training includes craniosacral work, fascial work, and Dynamic Body Balancing® with Dr. Carol Phillips. These approaches involve light hands-on contact and may be incorporated into care following an individual assessment.
She’ll discuss the purpose, limitations, and suitability of any proposed approach before beginning.
Insight Scans
When appropriate, Insight scans provide additional measurements that Dr. Kylie considers alongside your health history and examination. We’ll explain your findings and how they relate to any recommendations.
Scans are one part of the assessment. They do not identify every cause of symptoms or replace medical testing.
